Indian army using illiterate moulvis to harm movement: Hurriyat (G)

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) has expressed dismay over the participation of some “moulvis” in a tour organised by the army saying such actions by Kashmiris harms the movement.
“It is a group of some conscienceless people who, for their petty interests, are damaging our joint cause. The Indian army is using these people to hide the serious situation in Jammu & Kashmir. They want to give wrong message to Indian people that everything is fine in Kashmir and normalcy has returned to the state,” Hurriyat (G) said in a statement.
The statement said: “The Indian army has forcibly occupied the state of Jammu & Kashmir and is involved in serious kind of war crimes here. They have not only killed lakhs of innocent people but also molested and raped thousands of our sisters and daughters.”
“To hide their crime graph, the Indian army is working on different fronts and for this purpose they have also bought the services of some illiterate Moulvis who easily get trapped to serve their agendas,” the statement added.
The amalgam cautioned these “moulvis” against harming the “national cause of Kashmiris”.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani has denounced the continuous detention of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Syeda Aasiya Andrabi and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Ameer Hamza terming it as “worst kind of state terrorism and lawlessness” and demanded their immediate release.
“Since she was arrested before Eid, Asiya was granted bail five times and Ameer Hamza has also been bailed out by the court but police is violating the court orders and both leaders continue to be under police detention,” Geelani said.
