SRINAGAR: There are divergent opinions among people regarding the ongoing session of the Assembly, even as most express anger about the ‘beef ban’.
Aijaz Ahmad Parray, Peth Makhama:
BJP’s upper hand in the government is ruining the assembly sessions. This coalition government is controlled by the RSS. Speaker even undemocratically suspended 4 NC members.
Showkat Ahmad, Shalimar:
Opposition parties should not boycott the ongoing session, they should fight for the people of this state and on Article 35A.
Mohammad Sharief Malik, Kupwara:
I don’t believe in this assembly. It’s their government, they do what they want. All the successive governments in the past three decades never tried to provoke people of this state in this manner.
Bashir Ahmad Nayak:
Mufti should resign as soon as possible. They banned beef, which has hurt the sentiments of Muslims. They should repeal the beef ban law.
Javid Ahmad Wani, Narbal:
More adjournments in this session directly hint at the disagreement between the ruling and opposition parties. The House is operating undemocratically as PDP is downplaying its role in this coalition government.
Nisar Ahmad Lone, Budgam:
Whatever has happened in the past two months seems unconstitutional. The government is practicing hooliganism in the state which is directly reflected in the assembly in this session.
Nazir Ahmad, Nowhata:
The assembly session seems to be chaotic. We voted for PDP, but their decisions are disastrous. The government is trying to create a 2008-like situation in the Valley, wherein Kashmiris suffer the most.
