SRINAGAR: Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Information Technology and Technical Education, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari Tuesday inaugurated One day Golf tournament at Royal Springs Golf Course, Srinagar.
The Minister teed off the tournament early morning in the presence of number of golf lovers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that various efforts are underway to develop golf in the state. “We have a plan to revive the glory of the prestigious game of golf by developing global level infrastructure both in Kashmir and Jammu so that national and international level players can play here at ease”, said the Minister. He also stressed upon various stake holders to encourage local youth to play the game. Director General of Police K. Rajendra Kumar, Secretary Tourism Farooq Ahmed Shah, ADGP’s, IGP’s and other concerned were present on the occasion.
Earlier Additional Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh briefed the Minister about the tournament. The tournament was jointly organized by Jammu Kashmir Police Housing Corporation and TCI Max with an aim to encourage the caddies of the Royal Springs Golf Course.
