NC to boycott assembly session

Srinagar: The opposition National Conference (NC) has decided to boycott the ongoing assembly session after four of its legislators were suspended from the lower and upper houses.

NC legislators created ruckus this morning in both the houses demanding discussion on Article 35 A, and state subject rights of Jammu and Kashmir people. In the legislative council , the NC legislators Ali Mohammad Dar and Showkat Ahmad Ganai were suspended by the Chairman.

In the legislative assembly  too, the NC leaders lashed at the BJP-PDP coalition government while seeking a debate on Article 35 A. NC legislator Altaf Keloo was suspended by the Speaker Kavinder Gupta and marshaled out from the house. Similarly, Adul Majid Larni was also suspended by the speaker.
