DeM warns govt over Ahmadiya conference

Srinagar: Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) on Monday expressed serious concern over the plans of an Ahmadiya conference proposed to be held in Srinagar.
“The RSS and its allies are introducing new mischief’s in Muslim dominated Jammu Kashmir with an ill intention of changing the Muslim character and identity of the state,” a spokesperson of DeM said in a statement issued here.
The party also cautioned the government and said that the Muslims of the state will show strong resistance in case the Ahmadiya’s were permitted to conduct the conference.
“Mirzai people have since long not been able to raise their head in the state and it is only after some months, PDP brought RSS to the state, they have started their activities which seems to be a part of the strategy of disturbing the demography and Muslim identity of the state,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson also paid glowing tributes to the two militants killed in Tral yesterday and one in Loalab on Monday.
