3.5 lakh illegal structures,1102 trees removed on HC orders

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government has said that it  removed about 3.5 lakh illegal structures and 1102 illegal trees in the state following high court orders.

In response to a question during the ongoing assembly session, the government said that it has removed 81439 trees on river Jhelum, 130828 on water bodies and 144860 on irrigation channels across the state.

It also said that it removed 130 pucca structures, 410 tin sheds and 562 boundary walls.
