Srinagar: Beeru rangers, Mangnipora, Star 11 and BCC Blues won their respective matches in the ongoing TCI North Kashmir Invitational Cricket tournament played at Budgam, Bandipora, Handwara and Baramulla respectively on Wednesday.
In the first match, Beeru rangers beat Shah Cricket Club by 29 runs. Batting first, Beeru rangers scored 139 runs in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Shah Cricket Club Chadoora was all out for only 116. Omer Farooq of Beeru rangers, who scored 45 runs and took three wickets, was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match played at Bandipora , Mangipora beat Kaloosa 11 by three wickets. Batting first, Kaloosa 11 scored 158 runs at the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 30 overs. Mangnipora chased down the target in just 27 overs with three wickets remaining. Asif from Mangnipora, who scored 31 runs, was named man of the match.
The third match was played at Handwara between Star 11 and Jamia Sports. In their allotted 20 overs, Star 11 scored 210 runs while batting first. Jamia Sports was bundled out on paltry 139. Mansoor Banday, who scored 68 runs and took one wicket, was named man of the match.
In the last game played at Baramulla, BCC Blues beat Frashar Cricket 11 Baramullah with eight wickets. Batting first, the Frashar Cricket 11 managed only 134 runs which was chased down by the Blues in just 16.5 overs. Mohamamd Zahid of the Blues, who scored a blistering 71 from 38 balls, was adjudged man of the match
