Baramulla: Rafiabad XI and United Star Cricket Club, Baramulla win their matches in the inaugural match of TCI North Kashmir Invitational Cricket tournament played at Showqat Ali stadium, Baramulla on Sunday.
The first match of the day was played between Pangong XI and Rafiabad XI in which later emerge victorious by three wickets.
Bating first after winning the toss Pangong XI was shunted out for 139 runs, in reply Rafiabad XI achieved the set target in final over of the match.
Rafiabad XI medium pacer, Sajad Hussain for his four wicket haul was adjudged man of the match.
In the second fixture United Star Cricket Club, Baramulla beat FCC, Khanpora by eight wickets.
Chasing a target of 124, United Star Cricket Club openers provided a solid start to their side and their good work was carried forward by middle order batsman Firdous Ahmad who played a sensible knock of 50 runs, in his 30 ball knock Firdous hit two sixes and six boundaries and took his team past the 125—run mark.
Firdous Ahmad for his 50 run knock was adjudged man of the match.
