Muslims perform last rituals of Kashmiri Pandit in Tral

Tral: Keeping tradition of communal harmony alive, scores of Muslims performed last rituals of a 70-year-old Hindu man in the militant stronghold of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Neighbours of Radha Krishan said that when they heard about his death, they all came together to arrange for his cremation.
Krishan, a resident of Dilnag, was living alone. He had not migrated from the Valley after militancy started. “We are very much thankful to our Muslim neighbours who helped us to arrange the things required for cremation,” said a relative of Radha Krishan.
Locals said that it was their duty to help in performing his last rituals as it is included in the teachings of Islam.
“To help our neigbours irrespective of their caste, creed, religion is our duty which we performed,” said Misgar Bilal Ahmad.
He said that Krishan was very humble and was a faith healer to whom not only Hindus but some Muslims also used to visit.
