Srinagar: Claiming that three youth, whose bullet riddled bodies were recovered from an orchard in Pattan on Monday, were its cadres, the Hizbul Mujhaideen today charged police of killing the trio in custody.
“Amir Reshi, Ashiq Hussain and Naveed were associated with Hizbul Mujahideen. They had recently joined our fold. However, the agencies and the notorious Task Force killed them in custody. Our enemy demonstrated their cowardice with these killings,” Hizb Supremo Syed Salahud Din, according to the outfit’s spokesman, said while addressing the meeting of command council today.
The Hizb Supremo said that Lashkar-e-Islam was a non existent outfit and that the government was attempting to deceive people by claiming that rivalry between the two were the reason behind the killing of the three youth.
According to the spokesman, Salahud Din also supported shutdown call given by Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani against the killings.
