Contemplating to set up agri malls at district level, says govt

SRINAGAR: The government is contemplating to set up modern agri malls at the district level to make the business of JK State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited (JKSAIDCL) more “vibrant and commercial”, Agriculture Minister, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, said on Monday.
Chairing a meeting of officers of JKSAIDCL here, the minister said the ‘malls’, in first phase, would be set up in two districts and later established in other districts also.
He instructed the concerned authorities to prepare a comprehensive plan for early establishment of the malls.
While appreciating the vision document prepared by the Corporation for business plan of the next five years, he asked Corporation to organise ‘agri mela’, workshops, and to publicise various welfare schemes through the departmental website.
