CRPF officer dies of cardiac arrest in Pampore

Pulwama: A CRPF officer died of cardiac arrest this morning at a camp in Pampore town of this south Kashmir district.

ASI Jagdish Chand of CRPF 110 Battalion suffered a cardiac arrest at his camp in Frestbal area of Pampore town around 6:15 am today, Commanding Officer Kishore Kumar told Kashmir Reader. A resident of Himachal Pradesh, Jagdish was taken to the sub-district hospital Pampore by his colleagues. However, the doctors there declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, police have sent the body for post-mortem. Proceedings under section 174 Cr Pc have been initiated in this regard, SHO Pampore Raja Tasleem said.
