SAMBA: Industries and commerce minister, Chander Parkash Ganga on Sunday said that government of India has come up with requisite orders to facilitate the recruitment of West Pakistan refugees settled in J&K in armed forces.
Ganga, quoted by an official spokesman, said that the GoI and the state government were well aware of the problems faced by the West Pakistan refugees settled in the state. The minister, while addressing a gathering at Vijaypur in Samba, informed that as per orders issued by the government of India, the wards of West Pak refugees will now be eligible for recruitment without producing the domicile certificate.
“Now they have to produce a copy of the Electoral Roll showing the name of the candidate in the voters list for elections to the Parliamentary constituency and a certificate issued by the Sarpanch/Numberdar of their village to the effect that the person belonged to the WPR category,” he said.
