Soldier injured in ceasefire “violation” by Pak army

Jammu: A soldier was injured as Pakistani troops today violated the ceasefire by firing on forward posts along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said.

“Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district around 0745 hours,” a Defence Spokesman said.

In another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops targeted forward posts along the LoC in Hamirpur sector in Poonch district from 2150 hours to 2215 hours last night, he said.

In the Pakistani firing, a soldier was injured, he said adding troops retaliated. (PTI)
