SRINAGAR: The District Level Review Committee (DLRC) of Bandipora district in north Kashmir met at Nadiora to review the progress made under various government-sponsored schemes during Q1 of the current fiscal.
An official handout issued here said the meeting was held under District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Sajad Hussain.
The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 63.20 crore has been advanced under Credit Action Plan (CAP) during the first quarter of current fiscal in the district, covering 4,204 beneficiaries under Priority and Non-Priority sectors.
Of this, Rs 53.20 crore were provided alone by J&K Bank in the district.
MLA Bandipora Usman Majeed, Lead District Manager Bandipora Imtiyaz Ahmad, District Coordinators of all Banks, and other development agencies were present on the occasion.
Reviewing performance of banks and government departments under various schemes, the DDC, who is also the Chairman of the DLRC, stressed on speedy disposal of government-sponsored cases.
He advised the banks and sponsoring agencies to work with “cooperation and cohesion” to achieve the goals and targets for development and eradication of unemployment.
He also asked for conducting awareness camps in order to make the people aware of government-sponsored schemes and welfare plans.
Director Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Bandipora, while reviewing progress of the institute, said 2,436 candidates have so far been imparted training in various skills and trades through training programmes.
