Pak “militant” sent to 8-day police custody

Baramulla: A local court here today sent the alleged Pakistani militant, who reportedly surrendered before the army during last week’s Rafiabad encounter, into eight days police custody.

Sajad Ahmad @ Abdullah was sent into 8 days police custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Sopore, Mehrajudin Sofi today. The alleged Pakistani militant was brought to the court amid tight security.

Sajad Ahmad, according to army sources, was traced to a cave in Viji top in the area. He had surrender before the army after his three associates were killed in a gun-battle.
