JKLF condemns detention of Maqbool Bhat’s brother under PSA

SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Wednesday condemned the government for slapping another PSA on younger brother of party’s founder, Muhammad Maqbool Bhat.
A JKLF spokesman said that Zahoor Ahmad Bhat was lodged in Kupwara jail after he was charged under Public Safety Act, “fifth time in a row.”
Describing Zahoor’s detention as most undemocratic and illegal, the spokesman said that he has been tolerating the hardships of jail for a long time.
“The so-called rulers must remember that heirs of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat cannot be intimidated by such mean tactics,” the spokesman said.
While paying tributes to Zahoor Ahmad Bhat for his courage and passion for freedom, the JKLF said that any harm done to him will have dangerous consequences.
