SRINAGAR: For the first time in its history, J&K Bank will conduct the test for Relationship Executive posts online.
In a release issued here on Wednesday, the bank said the test, schedule to be held from September 5, is being referred to as “different and historic”, for “it is for the first time the exams are being conducted through online mode in scores of centres spanned across the state”.
“It is a challenge that we are ready to face with dedication and professional excellence on scientific lines to ensure enhanced levels of efficiency, confidentiality, and transparency,” Abdul Rauf Bhat, Senior President Human Resources Development Division (HRDD), said in the statement.
“To give the candidates an idea about the nature of the test and a sense of the online exam-taking, the bank has shared a link of mock tests on the home page of its website www.jkbank.net. The site is witnessing tremendous traffic as hundreds of aspiring candidates have been accessing it to undertake mock tests,” he said.
The bank said its management and staff, especially HRDD, are gearing up to ensure smooth conduct of the exams, which will see “tens of thousands of candidates appear and compete for the posts”.
It said the initiatives made by professionals in private capacity have also added to the efforts of encouraging online mode “by acquainting aspiring candidates with the online format”.
“RISE APP, a test-taking android application developed and launched by RISE Institute, an initiative by IITians from J&K, has come in as a very useful source of preparation,” it said.
The application was launched on September 1 and since then more than 1200 aspirants have downloaded the APP and attempted over 15,000 questions on it, it said.
“The application provides students with 10-15 test papers daily. APP, like the bank’s own mock test, has been designed to ensure candidates are able to practice in an environment which will be almost same as that of the actual test,” it said.
