SRINAGAR: The government on Tuesday asked the traders whose shops are nonoperational in Sangarmal shopping complex here to start functioning within 15 days.
An official handout issued here said the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir held a meeting with Sangarmal Traders Welfare Association here.
“During the deliberations, Divisional Commissioner informed that those shop owners who are not operating their shops in Sangarmal City Centre will be given a time of 15 days to reopen their shops in order to make them functional. Otherwise, their allotment will be cancelled and shops auctioned afresh,” the handout said.
He assured the President of the association that “all genuine demands” of the shopkeepers will be addressed, it said, adding that the Divisional Commissioner stated that experts are being hired “to develop Sangarmal area as a business hub”.
