Autumn session of assembly likely from Sept 29

SRINAGAR: State legislative assembly is likely to meet for a brief autumn session of 10 days from September 29.
Official sources said that the state’s Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry has prepared a note which will be placed before the cabinet for the final decision.
The budget session of the state legislature was adjourned sine die on April 09 and according to Constitutional requirement, the state assembly must meet at least once within a period of six months, which means the government has to convene the Assembly session before October 09.
The autumn session is likely to be stormy as opposition will try to corner the government on a whole host of issues likely rehabilitation package for flood victims, unemployment and increase in human rights violations etc.
