​Body of woman exhumed in Ganderbal after 3 months

Ganderbal: The body of a woman, who died three month ago under mysterious circumstances, was exhumed on Tuesday for forensics tests after her parents suspected foul play in her death.
Bibi Rukiya (35) wife of Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Chont Waliwar Lar in Ganderbal died on May 23 under mysterious circumstances.
Police said that initially the parents of the woman did not suspect anything, but later became suspicious and filed an FIR.
“Her husband and in-laws treated her badly for past seven years of marriage about which she always complained to us,” her sister said. The parents of the deceased, mother of six children, after three months of her death, claimed that Rukiya was murdered.
Besides the FIR, they also informed Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal in this regard.
Officials told Kashmir Reader that DC Ganderbal after receiving the complaint of the family ordered for exhumation of the body for its autopsy.
They said that on Tuesday a Forensic science Laboratory team from GMC ,police along with a magistrate exhumed her body.
When contacted, Block Medical Officer Lar said that a FSL team conducted the autopsy and took samples for final report. “It will take one week to complete the final report,” the officer said.
Police have registered a case under section 174 CRPC.
