SRINAGAR: A Task Force Committee on Monday approved establishment of 23 income-generating units in Jammu’s Reasi district.
“The committee, under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, approved 23 cases, amounting to project cost of Rs 38.50 lakh, for setting up of the units,” the government said in a release issued here.
It said the cases were approved under National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM). “The units like general store, manyari shop, dairy, mobile repair, fruit vendor, cyber cafe, and mule unit were approved,” it said.
“Under NULM, financial assistance at subsidised loan having 7% rate of interest up to Rs 2 lakh for individual and up to Rs 10 lakh for group can be availed by the unemployed youth residing in municipal limits to start their own income generating unit,” it said.
