SRINAGAR: Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) on Thursday called for a Valley-wide shutdown on September 7 against government’s failure to rehabilitate flood-hit people.
In a statement, KEA leader Showkat Ahmad Chowdhary said that a year has passed since floods devastated the Kashmir valley.
“Not even a single person has been rehabilitated by the government. As a mark of protest, people across the Valley should observe a complete shutdown,” he said.
“The protest will be also a show of solidarity towards thousands of flood-hit families,” he added.
