SRINAGAR: In central Kashmir’s Budgam district, the banks and other financial institutions have disbursed a cumulative amount of Rs 198.52 crore to 9,613 units in first quarter of the FY 2015-16.
The Lead Bank Office Budgam on Wednesday conducted its 53rd District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the progress and performance of financial institutions, banks, and sponsoring agencies for economic developmental activities for Q1 of the current fiscal.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Mir Altaf Ahmad.
The Lead District Manager Budgam, Shahzad Hussain Teli, briefed the meeting about achievements of the banks operating in the district under the District Credit Plan 2015-16.
“The banks have disbursed a total amount of Rs 198.52 crore to 9,613 units at the end of the first quarter, registering 36.55 per cent achievement with respect to the annual target of Rs 543.06 crores,” he said.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Budgam Zahoor Ahmad Magray, RBI’s Chief Planning Officer for Budgam Ashok Angural, District Bank Coordinators, DDM NABARD, Director RSETI Budgam, sectional heads of line departments, Block Development Officers, and other officials of the district administration.
