Hurriyat Conference dismiss rumors of Geelani’s deteriorating health

Srinagar: Dismissing the rumors over the deteriorating health of the conglomerate’s chairman Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat Conference (G) on Saturday asked people not to heed to rumor mongers.

“Rumors have been floated by some miscreants over the health of Geelani Sahab. He is perfectly fine. People need not to pay any heed to rumor mongers,” Hurriyat Conference spokesman, Ayaz Akbar told Kashmir Reader.

The Octogenarian leader, he said was suffering from chest infection from a couple of days. However, his health, Akbar said is considerably better.

“He carries on with his daily activities without any problem. He also offers prayers regularly,” said Akbar, adding “We appreciate the love and care of people for Geelani Sahab,”

The Hurriyat Conference spokesman said that it was not the first time that the rumors about the amalgam’s chairman were floated.

“It has happened many a times. I request people to confirm about his health from us instead of getting carried away by rumors,” he added.
