SRINAGAR: The banks in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have disbursed an amount of Rs 82.54 crore for establishment of 4,498 business units in the first quarter of the current financial year.
An official handout issued here said the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of the district was held at the district’s mini-secretariat under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat.
In the meeting, the Lead District Manager, Faizullah Qureshi, said, “The banks have disbursed a total amount of Rs 82.54 crores for establishment of 4,498 units…registering 17 per cent achievement.”
“Of the amount, Rs 76.11 crore have been disbursed for establishment of 4,289 units under priority sector, registering achievement of 27 per cent, and Rs 6.43 crore for establishing of 209 units under non- priority sector with an achievement of 3 per cent,” he said.
Qureshi said agriculture and allied activities registered a growth of 23 per cent, MSE 51 per cent, education 3 per cent, housing 1 per cent, while the growth recorded in other sectors was 8 per cent. The CD ratio of the district stands at 70 per cent, he said.
