Many mourners injured after roof collapses during Lashkar militant’s funeral

Pulwama: Over a dozen people were injured when the roof of a government school in Talangam village here collapsed during the funeral of one of the two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants killed by government forces today.

Hundreds of people, witnesses said, climbed trees, poles, rooftops and high rise buildings in Talangam village here to have a glimpse of a local LeT militant Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, who was killed earlier in the day by the government forces in Ratnipora, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. While the body of Gulzar was being taken away in a procession, a roof of a government school collapsed leaving over a dozen people injured.

“Many people, who received serious injuries in the roof collapse have been removed to hospital,” witnesses said.
