SOG, army cordons off Kakpora village in south Kashmir

Pulwama: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of police and army have cordoned off a village in Kakpora area of this south Kashmir district.

The teams of SOG and army’s 50 RR laid a siege around Astan Mohalla village of Kakpora here following information about the presence of militants in the area, an official told Kashmir Reader. While the cordon was being laid, the militants reportedly fired shots in air.

Though no exchange of fire has been reported, the cordon around the village has been further tightened. More details emerging
