20 UK trekkers stranded in Leh after cloudburst

SRINAGAR: A group of 20 trekkers from United Kingdom (UK) were stranded in Nagti Sku area of Leh district after cloudbursts led to increase in water level in the area.
Police said that that the teams of police and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been dispatched to the area to rescue the stranded group.
Deputy Superintendent of police, Leh, Zahoor Ahmad Peer said that the area was not motor able and the teams would take some time to reach the remote place.
