Civilian killed, 9 others wounded by BSF in Sialkot, says Pak army

Sialkot: A civilian has died and nine others including women and children have sustained injuries in the exchange of fire between India and Pakistan army in Sialkot along the Line of Control (LoC) here, Pakistan media reported.

Quoting Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Pakistan army’s media wing, Dunya News reported that the the Indian Border Security Force targeted civilian settlements in Sukhial village on working boundary near Sialkot district injuring several people including children and women. Some of the injured have been identified as Younas, Bisma, Bano, Sehrish and Yasir.

“They were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH),” Dunya news reported.

The report said that in another alleged ceasefire violation, the Indian BSF targeted Mathial, Bajwal, Devra and other villages in Bajwat sector. In Chaprar sector, mortar shells landed in Nandpur, Dhol Malanay, Salehpur and Sohailpur villages.

“A person in Kachimaan village succumbed to his injuries,” the report said.
