Freedom will be won through pen, not guns: PaK prez

Muzaffarabad: President ‘Azad’ Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Yaqoob Khan said on Sunday that the young generation will fight for Kashmir’s freedom with pen rather than gun.
“Our forefathers picked up gun to achieve freedom from India, but I want to tell India that the new generation will fight with pen for that goal,” Khan told on the occasion of inauguration of Jhelum Valley campus of University of Jammu and Kashmir (UAJ&K) at Hattian Bala near the Line of Control.
“We are a peaceful nation and we know how to achieve freedom from India and Insha-Allah we will get it soon,” he added.
Khan said “the Kashmiri nation will not give up its struggle” until it is granted the right to self determination.
The president also announced that a university in Hattain Bala, which he said is the “gateway to Srinagar”, will be set up with financial support from Japan, Korea and China. The campus will be built near the remains of an ancient Budhist centre of learning in Sharda, Neelam Valley.
