Protests erupt in downtown against Yaqub’s hanging

Srinagar: Scores of people are holding protests in downtown here against the hanging of 1993 Mumbai blast convict Mohammad Yaqoob Abdur Razzak Memon.

Scores of people, mainly youth took out a rally from the historic Jamia Masjid, Nowhatta to protest the hanging of 1993 Mumbai blast convict Mohammad Yaqoob Abdur Razzak Memon at the Nagpur Jail on Thursday, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. The protesters carrying ISIS and Pakistan flags and chanting anti-India slogans, condemned the death penalty to Yaqoob. The protests were going on when the last reports came in.
