Asiya leads anti-India demonstration at Nowhatta

Srinagar: Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Syed Asiya Andrabi today took out a protest rally in downtown here to denounce the hanging of 1993 Mumbai blast convict Yaqoob Razzak Memon.

Asiya and her supporters this afternoon appeared at the historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta here and took out a rally to protest the hanging of Yaqoob Razzak Memon at the Nagpur Jail after being convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.

Carrying portraits of JKLF founder Mohammad Maqbol Bhat, and parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzul Guru, and Yaqoob Memon, the DeM chairperson marched to the main square amidst anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

“Muslims are not safe in any part of India. To turn their dream of making India a Hindu Rashtra, Muslims are being sent to gallows,” Asiya said.

“They martyred Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, then Afzal Guru and now Yaqoob Memon. The aim of Hindutva parties is to slaughter Muslims whether he is a Kashmiri or an Indian,”
