SRINAGAR: Chief Education Officer Srinagar and Principal Higher Secondary Kothibagh on Wednesday were attached to the directorate of education by Education Minister Naeem Akhtar after he found the school unclean and a bathroom constructed on the front side of the school.
Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader that the minister found the school not properly cleaned (after the September floods). And an official apparently told the minster that it was due to lack of funds.
“The school did not receive any funds from the government to clean the school. There were some parts of the school which were not properly cleaned. The minister asked the CEO the reasons for this and the principal replied that it was due to lack of funds. The minister then issued the attachment order,” eyewitness said.
Director Education Showkat Beigh told Kashmir Reader that the minster was on an inspection to the school when he issued the order.
