SRINAGAR: The J&K Bank Monday promoted its 32 assistant vice presidents to vice-president posts, which are considered entry point to the bank’s “prestigious leadership band”.
In an official handout issued here, the bank said the promotion order was issued by its Chairman and CEO, Mushtaq Ahmad.
The promotion committee of the bank headed by the Chairman, after analysing the performance of these officers in their respective key areas of responsibility and taking into account their leadership acumen and capacity to handle bigger and strategic roles, shortlisted them out of over 80 officers, it said.
Their interviews, it added, were held from July 25 to 27.
“These elevations are in line with the bank’s growth and expansion plans. The growth path that J&K Bank is treading upon and the targets of expansion and business that we have set for ourselves had to be supported by competent and capable human resource,” the bank’s chairman said in the release.
“We are hopeful that these officers will handle their new roles, which of course are big and strategic, with great sense of responsibility and excellent leadership qualities,” he said.
