Srinagar: Muslim Deeni Mahaz on Monday organized its signature campaign, demanding release of political prisoners, in Ganderbal district.
Ganderbal is the sixth district where this campaign was organized.
Deeni Mahaz has planned to organise the signature campaign in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir. So far they had organized it in Srinagar, Kupwara ,Baramulla ,Bandipora , Pulwama and Ganderbal.
Mohammd Maqbool Bhat, general secretary of the Mahaz said that the response of the youth towards the campaign was overwhelming. “The youth are religiously participating in the signature campaign .Our motive is to make every Kashmiri informed about the injustices done to pro-freedom leaders .Many pro -freedom leaders had been kept in jails for two decades and government turns deaf ear towards the issue,”he said.
“After completing the campaign, the signatures would be compiled digitally and the data would be sent to Amnesty International ,Asia Watch, UNO ,IOC and World Muslim League,” he said.
