Contractors threaten to stop work if govt does not release their money

Srinagar: Chairman of United National Contractors Association, Nazir Ahmad Zargar on Monday threatened that they will stop all the government construction works if the state government does not release their pending money.
Talking to reporters, Zargar said from March 2013 till March 2015 government owes them about Rs 64 crore.
“We are giving a week’s time to government to release our money. And if it did not, we will launch a joint program against the government. We may either go for continuous shutdown or may go for secretariat gherao,” Zargar said.
