Guv to RBI: Let banks organise sustained credit flow

SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra Friday asked Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to ensure that the banks operating in the state lose no more time in organising sustained credit flow.
An official handout issued here said the RBI’s Reserve Bank of India’s Regional Director for J&K, Dambarudhar Sethy, and its Manager Foreign Exchange Department, Anil Kumar Reshi, called on Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here.
Sethy briefed the governor about the role played by RBI in “encouraging and enabling various Banks operating in J&K to promote the socio-economic development of the state”.
“The governor urged him to take all necessary measures to ensure that the banks lose no more time in organising sustained credit flows and particularly secure financial inclusion objectives,” it said.
