CRPF trooper among 5 injured in grenade attack

Anantnag: At least five people, including a CRPF trooper have reportedly been injured in a grenade attack in the Main Town here this afternoon.

Unknown persons tossed a hand grenade at a CRPF camp in Ganjiwara near the Acchabal Adda around 1:40 pm today, reports said. The grenade, however missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside  with a bang causing injuries to at least four civilians and a trooper. Two of the injured civilians have been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad and Mohammad Jabbar, while the trooper has been identified as Vijay Kumar

“All the injured have been removed to the nearby district hospital for treatment,” reports said.

Reports said that contingents of police and CRPF have reached the area and started manhunt to nab the attackers.
