Rajouri Muslims protest burning of Kalima-inscribed flag

Rajouri: Muslims of Rajouri on Mondayheld a protest against alleged burning of a flag inscribed with Kalima by activists of Vishva Hindu Parishad.
The protesters under the banner of Muslim Welfare Association Rajouri and Tehreek-e-Ghulaman-e-Mustafa took out a huge procession shouting slogans against the government after VHP activists burnt a black flag resembling with that of ISIS and inscribed with Kalima Toiba.
The protesters said that some elements were trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the district by targeting Muslims and hurting their sentiments.
They said that some elements affiliated to RSS and its sister organizations were trying to create chaos and confusion among the “peace loving and secular Muslims and Hindus.”
“We will not tolerate any sort of attack on our religion and if any one dares to do so, then Muslims will not hesitate to go to any extent to protect Islam,” one of the protesters leading the protest said.
He alleged that the district administration was furthering the agenda of RSS and its sister organizations.
The protesters said that police must register an FIR against the organizations responsible for burning the handmade flag with Kalima Toiba written on it.
They said that it was high time that chief minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayed withdraws from the government for the betterment of secular and peace loving Hindus and Muslims of the state.
