SRINAGAR: The civil engineering aspiring candidatesFriday accused the authorities of changing the number of seats “to favour the influential candidates.”
A group of aspirants told Kashmir Reader that the website of Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE)Thursday showed 141 seats vacant for civil engineering at SSM college. However, they said, on Friday evening it was suddenly changed to zero even as the website was down all day.
“I checked the website last evening and there were 141 seats. Today the site was down whole day, but when it started functioning, the number of seats in civil engineering was zero,” a candidate said.
“Even the update date shown on the website is of Saturday—July 11. How can they process and display the list a day earlier? We suspect this is an attempt to help influential candidates,” he said.
