Soldier wounded in Shopian gunfight dies

Srinagar: A soldier who was injured in an encounter with militants in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Wednesday night, succumbed to his injuries at the army hospital today

Officials told Kashmir Reader that Ramesh Kumar of 62 Rashtriya Rifles, who sustained injuries in a brief gunfight with militants in Barbugh village of Imam Sahab area of Shopian on last night, succumbed to his injuries at the army’s Badami Bagh hospital, where he was being treated upon for grave injuries.
