3 killed, 7 injured in separate accidents

Srinagar: Three people, including a father-daughter duo were killed and seven others injured in two separate accidents in Doda and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials told Kashmir Reader today that a Maruti car (JK02M-0896) was on its way to Chenani from Panchari when it fell into gorge in Dharmthal area of Udhampur district on Wednesday evening. In the accident, three people, including a father-daughter duo were killed and five others injured.

Officials identified the slain as Nitu Devi, daughter of Joginder Kumar of Nagulta, and Kapoor Chand and his daughter Rimy Devi.

The injured identified as Sanjay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Joginder Kumar, Balbir Kumar and Bindhu Devi were removed to the nearby district hospital Udhampur for treatment.

Meanwhile, in a separate road accident in Doda district two teenagers were injured when the car (JKO2Q-7481) they were travelling in met with an accident near Doda hospital. The injured identified as Mohammad Tufail and Adil Hussain were removed to the district hospital, Doda for treatment, officials said.
