Muzaffarabad: Pakistani administrated Kashmir government joined on Tuesday the chorus which has been rubbishing former RAW chief AS Dulat’s purported “revelations” about resistance and militant leadership in Kashmir.
“The claims made by former RAW chief about providing funds to Mujahideen organisations are rubbish,” PaK finance minister Choudhary Lateef Akbar told a press conference in Muzaffarabad. Akbar said that no nation can sacrifice so much as Kashmiris have for material gains.
He said Dulat’s interviews to Indian news channels ahead of the release of his memoir, Kashmir: The Vajpayee Years, are aimed at deflecting attention from the Amnesty International’s “damning report” about Indian armed forces’ human rights abuses in Kashmir.
“Both Hurriyat and Mujahideen leaderships are sincere and determined to liberate Kashmir from India. We are with the martyrs, mujahideen and Hurriyat leadership and we will continue our support till they achieve their objective,” Akbar said.
Akbar added that “such tactics of India’s RAW to blemish the image of Kashmir liberation movement cannot dent the resolve of Kashmiris”.
