Ram Madhav has exposed PDP’s sell-out to BJP: NC

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) on Tuesday said BJP General Secretary, Ram Madhav’s statement about the PDP-BJP Alliance being based on the ideology of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, has exposed PDP’s complete sell-out to the BJP for the sole aim of power.

In a statement issued here, NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar said Madhav’s remarks have finally and formally revealed that the coalition is based on the agenda and ideology of Mukherjee and the ‘Agenda of the Alliance’, as stated by PDP’s own MPs is a mere piece of paper.

“When the alliance was being formed, we were told by Mufti Sahab that his embrace of the BJP and RSS was based on the interests of the people of the state and that there were alleged safeguards for the interests of Jammu and Kashmir in a document called the ‘Agenda of the Alliance’,” Sagar said.

He said that the BJP General Secretary who was in-charge of forging the PDP-BJP “marriage of opportunism” has categorically exposed Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his party by saying this alliance is based on Jan Sangh founder’s ideology of abrogating Article 370 and repealing the State Subject Laws.

The NC General Secretary said all promises and pledges that were officially announced by PDP in its ‘Agenda of the Alliance’ with the BJP had been exposed as plain lies.

“The brazen silence of Mufti Sahab in the face of such revelations by his alliance partner makes it evident that PDP has tacitly agreed to compromise on the sensitive issues of Article 370 and State Subject Laws,” Sagar said.

“Now it appears Mukherjee’s dream is being pursued through Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his party”, Sagar further said,” he added.
