Water-logging pesters Pampore, authorities unmoved

Pampore: People of Pampore are up in arms against the government for failing to dewater several localities in the area following incessant rains.
Many residents complained that severe water-logging and drainage failure in this south Kashmir Township, after continuous rains over the past few days, has added to the woes of the people.
They said that a number of residential houses, shops and government buildings like Power Development Department, Municipal Court , Government Middle School and Forest department have been inundated due to the rains.
They said that roads and lanes of business hub Tanchabal in Pampore are still waterlogged.
The locals said that continuous water logging was putting many students and patients at risk.
Residents of Balhama told Kashmir reader that inundated roads were causing huge inconvenience to the people.
The residents appealed Tehsildar and Executive officer Municipality of Pampore to look into the matter and address the grievances of the people as quick as possible.
