Srinagar: A student of class 10, Suhail was the son of a retired forest official and people of the area remember him as a promising student.
The slain teenager was very popular in his area and especially liked for his pleasing manners. His teachers also spoke high of him.
Suhail, according to his cousin Tariq, never missed the school. “Today he went out not to throw stones at the police but to see whether his school was open,” he said.
Suhail was the youngest of the five siblings, which include two sisters, one of them visually impaired. His elder brother Hilal Ahmad is physically challenged, while another brother Ejaz Ahmad is a driver. His mother is a housewife.
