Srinagar: Kashmir based civil society groups on Sunday held a round table discussion on the government’s plan to construct separate townships for migrant Pandits.
The groups that participated in the discussion include Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society, Kashmir Economic Alliance, Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir, KCDS, Sikh Coordination Committee and Kashmir University Students Union.
The Kashmir Pandit Sangrash Samithi was once again conspicuous by its absence, said a spokesman.
The spokesman said that noted academician from US, Dr Mona Bhan also participated in the discussion.
“The discussion explored ways and means to work out a mechanism for return of Kashmiri Pandits. The process is expected to continue,” said a spokesman. ?
