BARAMULLA: The 32-km road Baramulla-Babareshi which was blocked due to landslides last week is yet to be cleared, causing huge inconvenience to people.
The road which connects dozens of villages of Kandi Babareshi area with Baramulla town is closed for traffic for the past one week after landslides hit the road at many places.
Locals are miffed over the inaction of officials in repairing the road.
Manzoor Ahmad, a school teacher said, that landslides hit the road at many places cutting off the areas of Chontpathri, Nambelnor, Allpathri, Chandosa, and Patchhar from other parts of Kashmir valley.
Shabir Ahmad, a student of degree college Baramulla said that he has to walk to his college on foot as vehicles were not able to ply on the 32 kilometer long road.
