Hurriyat(G) demands revocation of Dr Nisar’s suspension

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) on Sunday demanded immediate revocation of suspension orders of Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) president, Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan.
A spokesman of the pro-freedom group termed the continuous suspension of Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan as ‘brutal and unkind act’.
“National Conference government prosecuted him for raising his voice against the illegal trade of spurious drugs and the issue was made knotty by giving it a political color,” said the spokesman.
“When an honest and God fearing person raises his voice in a corrupt system, he is not only forcibly silenced but is also punished. Same is the case with Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan and he was crucified for identifying the frauds in his own department,” he added.
The spokesman said that the issue of ‘fake medicines used in the government hospitals is a high profile scam in which some top ministers of previous government were involved and this trade is continuously going on’.
“When the doctor brought these issues in the notice of the higher authorities, he was leveled with that kind of allegation which any common Kashmiri is voluntary ready to accept,” the spokesman stated.
He further said that ‘disputed nature of Kashmir was a reality’. “If Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan also sometimes expresses this reality, and then what is the wrong in this? Then India has to register cases against the entire Kashmiri nation for not accepting its forced occupation,” said the spokesman.
